Mekong Delta to Phu Quoc Island

Day 1: SAIGON - CAI BE - SA DEC (-/L/D)
08:00AM Meeting with our driver at the lobby of your hotel in Saigon.
We leave behind the noisy city of Saigon to explore Mekong Delta deeply and to escape on Song Xanh sampan for 3 days/ 2 nights cruise.
Your trip starts from Phu An Jetty at 10:00 am.
First of all, hop on a bicycle to better explore this wonderfully rural area, ending up at Le Longanier restaurant. Lunch is served in this exquisite colonial-style villa set in a lush tropical garden by the river.
After lunch, board the Song Xanh Sampan for a leisurely cruise on the busy waterways of the Mekong Delta, with stops along the  way to visit local cottage industries that utilize products from the Delta like rice and coconuts. Before arriving in Sa Dec, stop to visit a traditional brick factory where everything is made by hand. Arriving in Sa Dec, step ashore and take a stroll to a lively outdoor market. Visit the historic house of the real-life character in the acclaimed novel and film “The Lover” by Marguerite Duras. Dinner is served at a local house. The owner welcomes you and a candlelit dinner is served in this authentic environment. Enjoy your first night on board Song Xanh sampan as it moors on the Mekong River.

Day 2: SA DEC - LONG XUYEN - RACH GIA (B/L/D)

Goodbye to Sa Dec as Song Xanh cruises towards Long Xuyen along narrow canals, passing several rustic monkey bridges and pristine countryside scenes.

You have chance to take pictures as much as you want to make a wonderful album on Mekong River and its scenic landscapes.
After enjoying lunch on board, arrive in Long Xuyen to visit Tiger Island, birthplace of Vietnam’s second president. Meeting and interacting with local people with lots of fun.
Return to the sampan for dinner and resume your cruise towards Rach Gia.
Tonight, you pass the second night on board Song Xanh sampan on Mekong River.

Day 3: RACH GIA – PHU QUOC (B/-/-)
Early in the morning, Song Xanh sampan arrives in Rach Gia at around 07:00 am, the capital of Kien Giang Province, located on the coast of the Gulf of Thailand.
Breakfast is served on board before disembarkation.
Farewell to the crew and you continue your beach holiday on Phu Quoc Island.
For travelers traveling early to Phu Quoc, we can serve breakfast as early as 06:00 am.

From Rach Gia, you can take a speed boat to Phu Quoc Island for a few days on beach.
