Day 1: Siem Reap – Arrival (-/-/D show)
Meet on arrival at Siem Reap airport, check in at hotel. Time at leisure.
Evening dinner show at Angkor Village Theater. Overnight at hotel in Siem Reap.
Day 2: Siem Reap – Angkor Wat (B/L/-)
Breakfast at hotel.
Start the visit of South Gate of Angkor Thom, within you can visit Bayon Temple – Baphoun, Terrace of Elephant, Phemean Akas, and Terrace of Leper king. Lunch at a local restaurant.
Afternoon explore Ta Phrom Temple and the amazing Angkor Wat temple and sunset from Bakheng Hill or Pre Rub Temple. Overnight in Siem Reap.
Day 3: Siem Reap – Tonle Sap Lake – Saigon (B/L/-)
Breakfast at hotel.
Enjoy 01 hour cruise on Tonle Sap Great Lake for visiting floating village and fisherman life style, Puk the weaving village. Then visit Artisan D’Angkor for carving and silk center. Then rest of time shopping at Old market. Fly to Saigon.
Meet upon arrival at Saigon International Airport, then transfer to the hotel for check-in. Time at leisure. Accommodation in Saigon/Hochiminh city.
Day 4: Saigon – Cuchi tunnels (B/L/-)
AM: Drive to Cu Chi tunnels. At its height, the tunnel system stretched from Saigon to Cambodian border and was three levels deep. There are more than 200km of underground tunnels, consisting of a main axis system with many branches connecting to underground hideouts, shelters and other tunnels. The remaining tunnels have become a major tourist attraction giving the visitor a unique experience and a feel of what underground life in the war must have been like. On the way back to Saigon, stopover at local homes producing rice papers & rice wine. Lunch in Saigon.
PM: Discover Hochiminh city (formerly Saigon), the biggest economic center in the country: visit Opera house, cathedral Notre Dame, Central Post Office, China town, Thien Hau pagoda, Binh Tay market, Tay Son lacquer factory. Overnight in Saigon.
Day 5: Saigon – Caibe – Vinh Long - Can Tho (B/L/-)
Drive to Caibe to explore the Mekong delta. Caibe is famous for its extensive orchards and immense rice fields. Enjoy a boat trip on the Mekong river to floating markets, tropical orchards and home industries. Lunch at local restaurant. Disembark in Vinh Long where our driver waits for you.
Proceed to Can Tho. Accommodation in Cantho.
Day 6: Can Tho – Saigon - Danang – Hoian (B/L/-)
Experience an excursion to visit Cai Rang floating market and walk throughout the green orchard to taste some tropical fruits. Afterwards, we discover Binh Thuy ancient house in Cantho city.
Lunch at local restaurant on the way. Drive back to Saigon airport.
Fly to Danang. Meet our local guide at Danang airport, transfer to Hoian. Check-in at hotel. Overnight in Hoian.
Day 7: Hoian (B/-/-)
After breakfast, discover Hoian ancient town, known to early Western merchants, the city was one of the major trading centers of Southeast Asia in the 16th century. Hoian has a distinctive Chinese atmosphere with low, tiled-roof houses and narrow streets. Many of the houses were constructed of rare timbers and decorated with lacquer panels engraved with Chinese characters and pillars carved with ornamental designs. Visit historic merchants and community houses, places of worship and Japanese bridge, market Hoian.
PM: Free time at your own activities. Overnight in Hoian.
Day 8: Hoian – Hue (B/L/-)
Depart for Danang. The scenic 3hours and half drive via Hai Van pass offers spectacular views of mountains, the sea, idyllic beaches and villages.
Visit Cham museum on the way.
We continue further north to the charming historic city of Hue. Lunch at local restaurant.
Upon arrival, visit Tu Duc king' mausoleum and Dong Ba market.
Check-in at hotel. Free time. Overnight in Hue.
Day 9: Hue – Hanoi (B/L/-)
AM: Explore Hue, the former Royal city of the 13 ruling Nguyen dynasties: visit the Imperial Citadel and Forbidden city. Enjoy a boat trip on the Perfume River to discover Thien Mu pagoda, the wonderful architectural structures for religious worship in Hue. Lunch at local restaurant.
PM: Fly to Hanoi. Meet our guide at Hanoi airport, transfer to the hotel for check-in. Free time. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 10: Hanoi – Cuc Phuong park (B/L/D)
Drive to Cuc Phuong National Park. Once we have settled into our rooms we will visit the Endangered Primate Rescue centre and learn a little of the work that is being done to preserve the endangered native primates. We also visit the Botanical gardens. We have dinner and stay over-night in accommodation in the head quarter of the forest. We will spend a night drifting off to sleep to the sounds of the nocturnal activity outside. Overnight in Cuc Phuong Park.
Day 11: Hoa Lu - Tamcoc - Hanoi – Lao Cai (B/L-)
Rising this morning with the sounds of the forest all around us, we take a drive to the center of the park, where we commence our today trek through the lush rainforest, past centuries old trees and to caves once inhabited by prehistoric humans. We leave Cuc Phuong for Tam Coc.
Enjoy the spectacular scenery during a boat cruise on the Ngo Dong river. Afterwards, visit Bich Dong pagoda where the opening of Indochina movie was realized with French star Catherine Deneuve in 1991.
Drive back to Hanoi in the late afternoon.
Transfer to Hanoi Railways Station to catch the night train to LaoCai. Overnight on train.
Day 12: LaoCai – BacHa market – Sapa (B/-/-)
Early arrive in Lao Cai.
Have a simple breakfast in Lao Cai.
Depart to Bacha market, the biggest colorful market in Laocai province, held every Sunday morning. You can see the ethnic minorities go to the market on the back-horse or on foot. The market is bustling from 9.00am to 12:30pm.
Return to Lao Cai before climbing up to Sapa hill. Check-in at hotel. Free time. Overnight in Sapa.
Day 13: Sapa villages – Lao Cai – Hanoi (B/L/-)
AM: Visit Sapa market, short trek to Laochai & Tavan villages where we meet H’mong, Dzao, Dzay people.
PM: Explore Taphin village with Black H’mong people.
Then drive back to Laocai to take the train night to Hanoi. Overnight on train.
Day 14: Hanoi – Halong Bay (B/L/D)
Early arrive in Hanoi, transfer to hotel for breakfast. (NO – room)
8.00am depart for Halong bay, 180km east of Hanoi, listed as World Heritage Area by UNESCO in 1994.
12:00 we board a traditional junk to discover the 8th World Wonder where the movie "Indochine" was realized with Catherine Deneuve, French star in the 1990's. Lunch on boat with fresh seafood. It is time to relax on the deck through the most beautiful landscapes with more than 2,000 islands and islets limestone, rising from the emerald water. Visit a natural cave, the most picturesque grotto in the bay. Swimming (if the weather permits) and relaxing on the deck. Dinner & Overnight on board.
Day 15: Halong Bay – Hanoi (B/L/-)
Continue our excursion until lunch.
12h00 Drive back to Hanoi. Visit a workshop of potteries en route and Trinh Pagoda – Yen Tu.
Upon arrival at hotel, check-in. FREE TIME. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 16: Hanoi city tour (B/L/-)
We discover Hanoi-the charming capital of Vietnam today:
Hochiminh's mausoleum (closed on Monday & Friday, October & November) and his residence, Presidential Palace, Tran Quoc pagoda, One pillar pagoda, French colonial quarter, Temple of Literature, Hanoi Opera, Museum of Army.
Then explore Hoan Kiem lake and a short walk in the Hanoi Old quarter to observe the daily life of local people.
Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 17: Hanoi - departure (B/-/-)
Breakfast at hotel, transfer to Hanoi International Airport for departure flight. End of services. Check-out before 12:00
